Jan Louis van den Berg is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder with extensive international experience in corporate finance, investment management, and entrepreneurship.

After qualifying with PricewaterhouseCoopers in South Africa in 2006, he built his career working with prominent organizations such as Barclays PLC and Wells Fargo in London.

In 2012, Jan Louis co-founded and managed various financial services start-ups under the Africa Merchant Capital group, including corporate advisory, equity and credit investment management, and infrastructure projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.

In 2022, Jan Louis founded West Peak Capital, an alternative investment firm specialising in corporate advisory, private equity, private credit, and real estate.

Cobus Dippenaar is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with a proven track record in finance, operations, and strategic leadership. With over two decades of experience, he has held key executive roles in diverse industries, including consumer goods, logistics, and technology.

Cobus joined West Peak Capital in 2023 as COO where he is integrally involved in all aspects of the group’s activities working with clients and partners. Prior to this, Cobus was CFO at LCL and FD at Campari South Africa and Red Bull South Africa.

In 2022 whilst working at LCL, Cobus was instrumental in the founding of Loglive, a tech startup with significant growth. Cobus is passionate about creating sustainable value by combining strategic insights with technology.
